Lower Sac: , by Luke Geraty: Splish, splash, catch some trout!: 3 stars I spent yesterday on the Lower Sac and we got into some fun fish as well as saw a lot of salmon splashing around. The traffic on the river has definitely picked up, but there's still plenty of water to spread out and find fish in. The fish were grabby all day and we were busy with some feisty fish that mostly made their way into the net, though we lost two good fish that were likely in the 20+ inch zone. Most of the fish were on egg imitations but we did catch some smaller "spanky's" on nymphs in a few various spots. Salmon continue to stack up on redds and it's such a fun sight to see them going through the process of creating redds for the next generation. Weather wise it pays to have a vest or sweater in the morning but by 1pm, we were sweating in the 90 degree heat! I got three openings this month (Oct. 8, 12, & 13), so if you want to get out there, hit me up. Otherwise tight lines to you all and stay safe! Next 10 open days for Luke Geraty: Dec 18, Jan 6, 7, 9, 10, 13, 15, 22, 24, Feb 5 |
