I fished with Mike from New York and his daughter Shannon today.  The forecast was for 108 degrees, but I don't think it was that hot.  We had a nice breeze and a layer of smoke from the Lassen fire that helped cool things off a bit.  The small fish were eager in the morning, but we struggled to tempt the quality fish today.  Mike had the fish of the day, an 18" rainbow on an olive micro-stone nymph size 18.
