I fished Bill and Mike from Chico today on the Lower Sac.  Check out the photo of the steelhead Bill caught!  It's rare to catch one up in the Redding area.  This one ate a size 18 pheasant tail nymph.  We also caught fish on rubberlegs and small baetis nymphs.  There is a good hatch of baetis mid-day and still some caddisflies buzzing around.  We had a couple of dry fly opportunities but weren't able to fool any risers.  Our best luck was with small nymphs in 1-3ft of water.
