Today was day 2 with Pete & Karen.  We spent the day fishing about 1/2 a mile of our private stretch of Battle Creek.  This was a great place to spend a really hot day.  The water is 58 degrees and the canyon is heavily shaded, so it felt nice and cool all day even though it was about 100 degrees in the valley.  The dry fly fishing was very good today.  Pete and Karen both had countless fish go after their flies.  We landed wild rainbows up to ten inches on grasshoppers, parachute adams, and black elk hair caddis.
