Fall River: , by Andrew Harris: Great hatch, lots of fish: 3 stars

I had a great day on Fall River today.  I started off with Tom from Alameda and his father-in-law Randy from Florida.  Then after lunch they swapped with their good friends Aaron and Kim.  Once Tom and Randy learned the drill of the downstream drift, they started hooking fish.  We had a great nymph grab starting around 10am.  Pheasant Tails, brassies, micro mayflies, and other small mayfly nymphs size 16-18 worked great.  We got a lot of grabs on the dead drift and plenty on the swing, too.  We covered a lot of water, and we found tons of fish everywhere we went.  The nymph grab was awesome through about 3:30pm, then it shut off.  Aaron and Kim picked up where Tom and Randy left off and hooked a bunch more rainbows.  We landed tons of small and medium fish.  We hooked some very nice fish 16-18" but none of them made it to the net today.
