Trinity River: , by Andrew Harris: Almost t-shirt weather: 3 stars I guided Bill and Pete from the Bay Area today. We floated from the Old Lewiston Bridge to Bucktail on the Trinity River. Fishing was good in the morning. We hooked three adult steelhead on nymphs. They all ate small nymphs like red copper johns and natural birds nests in a size 16. The afternoon was a little slower, although we did encounter some half-pounders. It was a little too sunny today for a good hatch. We did find one riser. Pete wasted no time, getting the grab and landing the fish on his first cast! Beautiful weather Next 10 open days for Andrew Harris: |
