I guided Marie from Watsonville and Kathy from Redding today.  We enjoyed a beautiful day floating from the Posse Grounds to Bonnyview.  There were only two other boats out, and the weather was perfect for dry fly fishing: not too cold, no wind, and totally overcast.  We saw our first fish rise today at about 11am.  We spent about an hour working one riffle, hooking one fish and getting a refusal from another large rainbow.  We switched back and forth from nymphing to dry fly fishing the rest of the day.  The nymphing was pretty tough for us.  I changed a lot of flies and the fish weren't very interested.  Kathy and Marie were new to fly fishing and learned a lot.  They'll definitely be back for more!
