I guided Joe from Connecticut and son Will today.  Will just graduated from USC and this trip is his graduation present.  Joe took it easy and enjoyed the day while Will fished.  We shared the river with a handful of other boats, but it never seemed crowded.  Will made a lot of good drifts in the morning, but we couldn't find a fish until well into the afternoon.  Then the floodgates opened and the fish kept coming.  From 2:30 until dark Will put on a clinic.  By the time we reached the ramp Will had hooked ten steelhead, landing five.  A truly outstanding day!  The copper john was the fly of the day again.
