I guided Frank and Doug from the Sacramento area today on the Lower Sac.  Fishing was excellent.  The big fish were on the grab today.  Salmon are starting to show in the spawning areas, but it will still be a couple weeks before the egg grab gets going.  Fortunately, the fish are chowing down on small mayfly patterns.  We cleaned up today on Hogan's S&M nymphs, brown Micro Mayflies, Sloan's Mighty Mites, and beadhead PTs.  Flows are below 7000 and it's possible to anchor up and work the riffles and drop-offs.  We did very well in the riffles and nooks and crannies today.  The long flats were a little slow.  The Sac is fishing great right now.
