Drew Darkenwald and I had the pleasure of guiding Scott and Pam from southern California today.  We fished the Ash Camp area of the McCloud.  There were lots of vehicles down there, but we hardly saw any other anglers.  Nymphing was a little slow, but we had a great hatch of size 16 gray mayflies starting around 4pm.  Scott landed a couple nice fish on dries and Pam landed a couple good fish on nymphs.
