I spent this past week guiding and scouting on the Fall River and the Lower Sac. The trout season on the Fall is just getting underway, the weed beds are starting to grow in nicely and the rainbow's are starting to spread out and move down through the system. We hooked and landed a fair number of fish, mostly on the smaller side with an occasional 16" thrown in to keep things interesting. Still not a lot of bug activity yet but it should be in full swing soon and with it the larger fish should become more active too!

The lower sac continues to fish well and fish are distributed evenly from Redding to Red Bluff, the flows are bouncing around the 7000 cfs mark which is a great level for fishing and boating.
