Lower Sac: , by Andrew Harris: 4 stars

The Lower Sac continues to fish very well even as the flows have been rising the last 2 days.  Flows have come up from 3000cfs one week ago to 6000cfs today and will be up to 7000cfs by Sunday.  I fished Posse Grounds to Anderson yesterday and Bonnyview to Balls Ferry today.  Fishing was good throughout the day both days.  Big and bright-colored flies are good when the flows are coming up.  A rising river usually means a lot of vegetation and other debris in the water, so it helps if your fly stands out a little bit.

Don't forget that the section of river from the Highway 44 bridge up to Keswick Dam will close on April 27th, this coming Monday.  It will be closed through July 31st to protect spawning winter-run Chinook salmon.
