I fished with the Cooks brothers the last few days on the lower Sacramento River with great success. Trout averaging in size around 17". We even landed a small Seeelhead outside one of the creek inlets. This "egg grab" should continue throughout October so try to make it up to the Redding area for some great trout fishing!
