Gino Bernero started his guide service “The Road to Fishes” in 2001. Initially guiding at Clearwater House on Hat Creek and on the American and Yuba Rivers, Gino quickly became one of the most successful guides in northern California. Gino now spends most of the year chasing steelhead on the Rogue, Applegate, Trinity, and southern Oregon coastal rivers. He guides for trout during May, June & July on the Fall River, Pit, Hat, and McCloud. Gino became one of the founders of Confluence Outfitters in the fall of 2006.

Gino is a wonderful guide to spend a day with, and his passion for fishing is only surpassed by his desire and ability to help his clients improve their fly fishing skills. Whether fishing for trout or steelhead, Gino never misses an opportunity to help his clients get better at doing what they love to do. Gino and his wife Janet are currently building their dream home on the Applegate River near Grants Pass, Oregon.
