The Upper Williamson River is regarded as one of the finest spring creeks in Oregon.
Sand Creek Ranch is located near the headwaters of the river.
The ranch has 3.5 miles of private water that gets very little fishing pressure.
Anglers who have fished the Williamson River system extensively seem to agree that this property has the best fishing on the upper part of the river.
The Upper Williamson winds through the property in an unending series of oxbows.
The banks are deeply undercut on each bend, providing plenty of holding water for large trout.
This part of the river is home to wild rainbow and brook trout.
On a daily basis you can expect to catch rainbows up to 15".
During hatches of black drakes and hexagenia mayflies it's not uncommon to hook fish in the 18-20" range.
Very little wading is required; the river is easily fished from the bank.
Sand Creek Ranch is a very exclusive fishery.
When you book a stay, your party will have the entire river all to yourselves.
The guest house can sleep six people and has three bedrooms, each with its own bathroom.
There is also a smaller cottage that could sleep two people.
The guest house is right on the river in the middle of the property.
The kitchen is equipped with everything you need to prepare meals for your group.
